This post is all about how to play the Nine Pieces puzzle game. Here is a screen shot of the game.
The Pieces
There are nine pieces placed in a 3 by 3 square. You can rotate a piece by clicking on it with the left mouse button. You can move the piece by dragging and dropping it over any other piece. This operation will let the dragged piece take the place of the piece you drop it on. And the piece that was dropped on will take the place of the dragged piece.
Decoration
A piece is decorated with half of an image on each of its four sides. There are four different images used to create the pieces, but some pieces do not have (a half) all four images. Every image half is either a top or a bottom and cannot be mistaken one from the other.
The Goal
The goal of the game is to align all the pieces so that all connecting sides form a whole image. Here is an example where 4 pieces are aligned correctly.
Help
When two connected sides form a whole image a green light is displayed between the pieces.
Enjoy the game.
